CommissionProcess
Intro
Thank you for your interest in my work! If you’re reading this, then you’re probably wondering how my commission process works. This short document outlines my process and I hope it answers any questions you might have and eases any uncertainties.
*Disclaimer: Other makers may use a similar process, however this is my personal process. Always do your research about makers and ask plenty of questions before commissioning, if you have them!*
Step 1: Get a quote!
As with almost any fursuit maker, you will need a quote to give you an exact price of your project! This will cover the base price of commission along with any extra details you’ve requested. Simply fill out the quote form here and I will email you a price breakdown for your requested project.
Ex: You request a quote for a mini partial. The cost breakdown will include the cost of the head + any additional addons (teeth, eyelids, ect.) cost of the handpaws, and cost of the tail.
Step 2: Acceptance
Once you’ve received a quote from me, you can either ignore it if you choose to commission me at a later time, or email me back to move forward with the commission process. Should you choose to accept and move forward, I will send you a payment link!
Step 3: Payment
Payment is only accepted through Stripe which allows for a variety of payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay. Paythen will be used for those needing more customized options. Once the down-payment has been made, you will be added to my to-do list on Trello and be marked as unpaid. Should you choose to go ahead and pay in full, you will be marked as paid and added to the doing list on Tre llo.
Step 4: Approving materials
Once you’ve paid in full or completed all payments, you will be added to the doing list on Trello. *I highly encourage bookmarking this page to keep up with your project!* I will then send an email asking for the appropriate measurements. Work on your headbase will start once measurements have been sent in. In the meantime, I will then create my own version of a fursuit friendly ref for you, color match furs/minky, and send them for your approval. Materials will be ordered upon your approval.
Step 5: Work flow
All work I do on each commission is outlined with checklists via my Trello along with weekly updates on certain projects that are posted to my Telegram channel. I will reach out to you regarding certain aspects of your commission such as eye shape, correct marking placement, and eyelid color, if you’ve requested eyelids. My completion time for commission is >6 months. If you suddenly want your commission for a deadline and it has not been requested via the quote form, you will need to pay an additional rush fee which will be based on where your commission is at.
Step 6: Shipping
Once your commission is complete, you will get a final completion photoshoot sent to you. I will send along prices of different shipping carriers and you may choose whichever one best suits your needs. You then pay the shipping costs and I package and ship your commission, along with a material/care guide!
Step 7: Show off your new suit!
Congrats! You’ve finally received your new suit and now you can show it off online, go to furmeets, and be your character at cons. I LOVE seeing photos and videos of my suits, so please send them along if you have them. I will NEVER be annoyed at seeing my suit children out and about!
